Well; life being as it is, this next is (possibly) vaguely predictable
Well. Well. Today I was in the library selecting from Pablo Neruda's poetical works to take home. The chance of such a thing becoming a habit is truly unlikely I reckon. Just occurred to one. There's a poster about mentioning a chap having Pablo N as teaching specialism. Possibly that encouraged the action
Enough of this.
Two days ago, the following came my way:
A goat goes into an employment agency and asks in perfect English, for some work.
The amazed clerk looks through his files and suggests trying the circus.
"The circus?" replies the goat incredulously. "Why would the circus need a carpenter?"
(On a more serious note, it's likely the clerk did not look with thoroughness. His reply to Bill(y) was some type of bush-off in my estimation. Bin there.. Goatist. I used to have one when I was boy - goat
The blog is meant to be about writing isn't it really?)
And I wished to end there but something other.
I mentioned on the 1st writing here working at telesales/timeshares. The place where I was employed at that, closed down very recently. My friend told me of it and that management had come from London and asked them if they had any ideas for keeping things going at a High Roar. I only could think if I was there it'd be going thro my mind - but I wouldn't have said it - 'the public have sussed us; sussed all this..'
A few of the staff, self included as I said, just over 2 years ago now, were laid off unceremoniously. For want of deeper matters to reflect on I was thinking of one of the sackedf being at the jobcentre-plus taking down the details of any of our ex-managers. In a more ideal world he'd, if he was a little like me, be laughing his head off taking down the details. If they complained... shouldn't be so sensitive
Brought to mind that the telesales job I had B4 that, the manager there(Porsche the lot) next time I 'met' him was place of detention. I was visiting, he wasn't.
Let's keep to writing eh, as we can in the future.
Bye for now
