The story of how community adventure playground The Vench used the CRF funding to build a cafe on waste ground. The cafe serves the community, makes a profit to fund and support Vench's community activities, helping them be more self-sufficient and resilient as an organisation.

OK, just to pick up, um, what has impacted the delivery of your project, so from filling out the forms, receiving the funding to delivering the upgrade or changes, have you had any setbacks, issues, or any support with that? We um yeah we had great support from the council teams, thank you very much. er we also had to seek out additional funding due to the fact that cost of construction um increased and with that external funding we also received funding from a developer um who is a corporate um partner of Groundwork UK. Um, and they offered, uh, amazing amounts of support with, uh, things like providing drawings, um, going through the procurement process, um, helping us, uh, sign, uh, construction contracts, and we've learnt amazing amounts from them, and, and the project is not what it, it, it is what it it is today because they supported us through that. Um, as, as a small project here, we possibly wouldn't have been able to do it without their support

Um, so big kudos to them. Who, who was the person or company that supported you? Uh, so it's Avis and Young. They have an office in Bristol and their Bristol team and John have been absolutely amazing

Brilliant, excellent. Thank you. Thanks, cheers
