Digital film school is a 10-week online Open University course which is practical, hands-on and fun, built around simple tasks based on real-world briefs and a strong culture of mutual support between students. The course will help you develop your creativity, organising and technical skills.

You do not require any previous qualification or prior knowledge of video making to study this course, but you will need some experience of using the internet and a basic proficiency in computing.

You will be expected to study about 10 hours per week. If you successfully complete the course you will gain 10 credits at university level 1 (i.e. NQF level 4).

Particular hardware or software requirements are not specified, but you should look at the course description on the website for further advice about the technology requirements.

The course fee is £205. However, financial support to cover course fees may be  available for people on means tested benefits, who have little or no experience of university level study.
