Experience of the pandemic
Please Report the Errrors?
OK. Hi.
Will, um we're gonna have a small interview about how covid like,
affected your situation and everything
I wanted to know. What are you missing?
Actually, because of the whole covid situation,
what am I missing?
So at the minute,
um, I think the main thing is like travel because, um,
so I'm in Budapest,
and I wanted to go to Vienna.
That's been on my list for the for the three months that I've been here,
and I've been kind of like putting it off and putting it off.
And now Austria has gone into a lockdown, so I can't do that.
Um,
and also, in terms of like, going home to England, they've just brought back the, uh,
red list.
Um, so if Hungary gets, like, put on the red list,
I'm going to have to just sort of boost home like,
um,
which I don't really want to do.
It would be nice to sort of spend the next two weeks here, just like,
um,
enjoying the country like socialising and that kind of thing,
So, yeah, it makes it kind of hard to like,
um,
plan and everything sort of feels a little bit sort of uncertain.
Yeah,
And do you think that covid actually maybe damage your social interaction or
the way you are now perceiving the way you interact with people?
I think it damaged it to begin with because, like, I think everyone felt this.
It's like
suddenly we couldn't speak to anyone apart from like I could speak to, like,
my mom and my brother.
And that's it,
Um so even like So when we started doing, like, zoom like quizzes or like, um,
zoom calls with my friends, I was like, Oh, my God, I like nervous before I was, um,
going on them because, like, I
hadn't spoken to them in so long,
Um and then coming out of that was like hard because it's sort of, um
you just don't know.
You just kind of forgotten how to interact with people, And it was like
it wasn't exactly a really long period of time,
but it just changes your perception completely.
Um,
but then I think having sort of come through
that it's made things a lot easier to like,
communicate with people, um, like just strangers.
So obviously I'm out here in Budapest at the minute
Um,
and like just making friends with people is a lot easier having done
that because you just feel way more comfortable just talking to people,
because it,
you know, it can't get any worse than what it was before. Yeah.
Do you think it actually changed like your long time goals or
just to have the same?
I think pretty much the same.
But I think I try and sort of value interacting with people even more now,
Um, like,
you know, before it could be like, Oh,
I've got to go and see my friends like he's a bit of a chore,
Like going to the pub or something.
It's like, I don't really want to go.
But now I'm like, I need to, like, make the most of it because
it could be taken away at any point. So,
yeah, it has. It has changed my goal slightly
