Tenants wanted to take over ‘TenantBook’
Posted on September 5, 2013
Advert on the Board Development Agency website
TenantBook was set up to help social housing organisations stay in touch and
discuss issues in private groups with none of the draw backs of facebook.
For the last couple of years George Arkless a tenant of Haddonhall TMO in Southwark,
has been looking after the site. He has been posting articles and news and acting as
one of the sites administrators. BDA has made a contribution of £100 a month to his
TMO in recognition of his work on behalf of tenants. He has done a wonderful job.
The good news for George is that he has now got a job and can no longer look after
the site. So we are looking for a tenant group to take over from George.
We will give their tenants group this monthly sum to spend on their tenants
organisation. We are looking for a tenants group that is:
passionate about social networking
keen to blog and post news on the site
wants to encourage discussions amongst tenants and housing professionals
and board members
wants to develop tenantbook as a tenants’ skills, development,
consciousness raising and information sharing tool
wants to develop tenantbook to share wider discussions about social,
affordable and private rented housing generally
wants to use tenantbook to help shape the housing debate and influence
policy
has the required skills and equipment ( a good computer).
We are inviting all offers to be returned by 1st October. We will get offers down to a
manageable shortlist and come and meet the final groups before we make our final
choice. For more information contact enquiries@boardagency.org.uk
