WOW Wow wow oor Jordan decided to celebrate her birthday with a difference this year....by setting up the "Meme Dream Birthday Team" and along with family and friends has been working tirelessly raising funds for the National Autistic
Society Scotland.
Jordan and her team of volunteers including Dad Kes and friends Maria, Kerry, George, Emma and Ami started off by holding a delicious Bake Sale at Ardrossan Library. Once the bake sale was over it was then time for the leftover cakes to be kindly hand delivered by Maria, to Southbeach
Nursing Home. Yep the cakes were definately well received and both staff and residents all extended their gratitude. £81.37 was raised during the bake sale.
Then it was off to Glasgow with friends Heather, Kerry, Sister Aaron and Dad Kes as they successfully completed the Spectrum Night Walk in 1hr 10mins exactly for World Autism Awareness Week! Well done everyone what an amazing Dream Team you all are!
As many of you know Jordan had a Sweepstake at the library today, where anyone could guess how long it would take the 'Meme Dream Birthday Team' to complete the night walk. Whoever guessed the time correctly would win either a bottle of Brandy (generously donated by Maggie Smith) or a luxury Cake (handmade and donated by the extremely talented Linda Taylor).......... I can now reveal the WINNER of the Sweepstake is......
DRUM ROLL.............. ***Mr Boab McDougal - who correctly guessed 1hr 10 mins exactly won the bottle of Brandy*** In a very close 2nd place was our lovely Maria who guessed 1hr 8mins and won the luxury cake.
Well done to you both......ya pair o' jammy dodgers ;-)
If you didn't make it along to the Cake Sale today and would still like to donate, please visit the online donation page:

Jordan would like to extend a huge thank you to the library staff for allowing them the use of their venue, everyone who donated baking, volunteers and to everyone who came along to the library to show there support for this worthy cause. A special thanks to Donna Irvine & her partner John Noble who traveled all the way from Glasgow to show their support.
Am totally in awe of Jordan as she gave up her whole birthday today to raise funds for The National Autistic Society, no words for how proud I am of her, she's a very special daughter.... one in a million".
