Last night I went to The Lowry in Salford Quays, to see the stand up comedian, John Bishop.
We got the last 3 tickets to see the trial run of the BBC TV programme 'John Bishop's Britain' which is about John Bishop sharing his unique comedic take on universal themes that touch everyone, with stand-up, sketches and real-life stories from celebrity guests and members of the public.
Before we went to the show we went to a restaurant around the corner from The Lowry, only to find John Bishop was in there having his tea, so I took a sneaky photo!
The idea of last nights show was to test his jokes out on the audience to see if they were funny, and if they weren't he wouldn't use them in the up coming TV programme and also to test his autocue was working Ok.
We were in the audience for the last 'trial' show, which was based around the theme of Christmas!...It was a bit odd, as we listened to Christmas tunes, in the middle of JULY!
A lot of very funny subjects came up, like...Christmas arguments, Work Christmas parties, Buying presents etc. I really enjoyed the show and would definitely go again! So...can't wait to see it on TV later this year to see which jokes he uses!
