Meeting People

When I first moved to Walkden I joined the U3A that meet each Thursday between 14.00 and 16.00.

Being new to the area I found it a very good way of meeting new people.

Bridge and Mah-jong are two games I had never played before. I have learned how to play the games but it is more a social activity for me.

for most people the major benefit is mixing with others and enjoying each others company.

One of the members of the church choir gives me a lift to the Community Centre.
