Gorton Monastery April 2010
The weather was fine and this was a first for me visiting such an event. The Monastery is situated just 2 miles from the centre and has had over 6 million pounds spent on its restoration turning it into of the best venues in the city. It took over 10 years to rise the funds to restore this 1872 building, which was build by Franciscan Monks and was opened just over 2 years ago and still has some of the stain glass windows and Alter still in tact.
