Introduction.
My name is Steve Donoghue. I am a Salford lad who moved out of the area in the late 60's to Salford overspill Worsley, and presently in Nth Manchester. I am a new volunteer here at ICT (Inspiring Communities Together) I am going to be with you for about 3 months and would like to meet some of the other community reporters from my area to share experiences, contacts and networks. I have been involved in a few short film projects, some Extra's work and sometimes provide columns for newsletters/magazines.
Why am I here ?
I am here to expand my knowledge of community media and to help with other projects that i am involved in. i feel this is an opportunity i could not turn down, as it is a completely new environment from my previous work.
What would I like to achieve from this experience ?
Well, this is a totally new direction for me, so I would eventually like to work in this media area in some form or another, and volunteering will give me editing/production experience. My aim is to be a heritage reporter for either a Local Authority, HLF (heritage lottery fund) assessor or independent museum.
