Writing blog pieces about wellbeing is hard, mood fluctuation often leads me to be less than well, I don't necessarily think that means I have a diagnoseable illness, a disorder, as some are want to call it, I don't know enough about other peoples's experience to speculate about how they wish to couch their mood changes, I think most likely many people are affected, but it seems heightened for those whom life has thrown difficult circumstances their way, and when they are sensitive and intuitive of non-materialistic pursuits.
I had commitments this week, motivation to keep them was low but a bunch of flowers relit some enthusiasm, particularly to contribute this piece for Leeds Wellbeing Web, they were a reduced in price bouquet of scented flocks, and a seperate bunch of Oriental lilies, still with closed buds, only one revealed a hint of pink, there was no indication whether they were the highly perfumed kind, a visitor bearing a gift of brightly coloured mixed carnation spray, added an additional part of what was to be a showy display..... each day, mainly overnight one or two buds would start to peek open, revealing the delicate white/pink petals and rust tipped stamens, by evening their perfume, overwhelmingly heady, I find Oriental Lilies so exciting, since they open to reveal their unashamed flamboyant nature....(I'll admit to openly praising them once or twice,) perhaps that's why twelve blooms rewarded me with their glory for over a week, I'm still a waiting the thirteenth to honor me with its presence, i've now added maroon alstromeria (Peruvian Lilies) to the display. Enjoy them!
Although I've been interested in looking at photographs for many years it wasn't until three years ago I bought a digital camera, I was delighted with those first results but the 'bloggie' camera I took these with also gave me a pleasing result.
Developing a personal blog gives great scope for self expression, interacting on Twitter allows quick and easy access to up to date information, discussion and debate, used wisely it can be an absorbing hobby but I find since I have experienced altered states of perception, prolonged use of a glaring screen isn't always helpful for my vision or my mood, it's true it can be a window on the world but nothing beats meeting up with other people in real time, I took that step recently with someone whose blog I've followed for a while, she was just as friendly and interesting as in her blog posts
