Over the next few weeks we will be looking at the the history of what happened to Salford's famous Castle Irwell racecourse.
Did you ever go to "the races" ? not Ascot, not Aintree, but Salford. Some called it Manchester racecourse, but as proud Salfordians all know it was our Salford racecourse, just like Salford docks...its not Manchester's (tongue in cheek) its ours!
And what a history it has hidden behind its walls. I intend to bring it all flooding back to you.
There are some assignments that are straight forward, and there are some that turn out to be...well extraordinary. This one will amaze you.
